She doesn't wear makeup, either, making her scars and the bags under her eyes visible. She doesn't want to spend money on makeup either. During the summers, she'll wear flip-flops or still regular shoes. But her skirts will be shorter and she'll wear tank-tops or short sleeved shirts. She wears lighter colors in the summer as well. Personality
Labrys is a mild individual with a temper. Those who meet her first notice her awkward attempts to speak with them. After spending enough time with someone, she'll become more expressive and eloquent with them, after becoming more comfortable around them. How Labrys acts around someone usually depends on how well she knows them and how well she trusts them. Still, she has deep personal and mental problems stemming from her past, and at times her temper can randomly be triggered, causing her to snap and cause misunderstandings. She cannot control these sudden outbursts and they're one of the reasons why she's so awkward when first meeting people, because she doesn't know when these episodes will spring up, and she doesn't want to risk making a bad first impression. Labrys is often lonely, and wishing for others to understand her. She doesn't understand herself, however. She desperately, desperately wants someone to tell her who she is, where she came from, and what she should be doing. The general feeling of confusion and the blank spots in her past cause her to become thoroughly ruffled. She doesn't like it when her childhood is mentioned or people ask questions about it.
Labrys is a kind person at heart. But she is often shaky, fearful and confused about the world around her. She always wants to protect her friends and is wholly compassionate. She would never purposefully betray her friends, and isn't very naive. She wouldn't betray anyone's secrets and she tries her best to always uphold promises. She constantly is trying to keep her word, which is why she never makes promises very much anymore. She hates having bosses and superiors, even if they're nice. It's almost a phobia, because she fears and hates people trying to give her orders and commands. She doesn't want to be in charge of anything, either. Labrys constantly has trouble deciding what she wants in life. She's shaky and uncertain with enough decisions in her life, she doesn't need to be pressured into finding an occupation that is perfect for her. She fears that she may lose interest and not be committed enough. She doesn't want to be stuck in an occupation that she'll lose interest in. However, since she doesn't have parents that she can remember, she doesn't really think that she has too many people to disappoint. It's not like she's surrounded by friends anyways.
She's not exactly easygoing but isn't stressed too easily either. However, when someone asks her something that she can't remember about her past, she may tend to freak out and have one of her outbursts. She's stressed by the fact that there are holes in her memories, and that there are years that she has no recollection of. Still, she tries her best to live a normal life among other citizens as well. One, extremely touchy subject that makes her immediately want to leave a conversation and go home would be Burst Hearts and those capable of using them. It's especially difficult to avoid this matter due to the growing number of burst heart users, therefore there are days where Labrys just stays inside all day. Her neighbors view her as a troubled young girl, and are always doing kind things for her. So whenever they need help she always helps them, and even when they're not needing too much help, she'll run errands for them. She has an incredibly pleasant demeanor around them, as well as people who she is familiar with. She'll go out of her way to help other people who need it. She routinely rides her bicycle around town and always takes the same routes that she's comfortable with.
Labrys is a bit at a loss of what to do whenever one of her friends is upset. She has yet to entirely figure out human emotions and she isn't entirely intuitive. She tries to support those who are close to her as best as she possibly can. It pains her extremely whenever she sees someone close to her suffering. Labrys may take risks in order to help those close to her. She's willing to sacrifice her own health in order to help others out. She just hates seeing people suffer, overall. Whenever she sees someone on the street suffering, her heart hurts immensely, and it convinces her to go see what's wrong and if she can help in any way, shape or form. She's an incredibly passionate individual. But she can easily feel guilty as well. However, when someone tries to take advantage of this part of her personality, she usually lashes out and has an outburst. She despises it when others take her kindness for granted and rely on her to do their work for them. She hates being treated as a tool for someone else, and will never do any work for someone that she believes is trying to take advantage of her. She may misunderstand others, too, because of her paranoia and lack of intuitiveness.
History
Labrys was born to a mother who could not take care of her. Labrys never knew her mother and does not remember her. Almost immediately after she was born, she was sold to a man who swore to take care of her. Her mother, being poor and desperate, was being taken advantage of, but was too damaged to release. Labrys was given away. Little did anyone know, that the man who had taken her was apart of a large company related to manufacturing pokeballs, as well as bursthearts. The company was experimenting using bursthearts, and attempting to even manufacture human weapons using these bursthearts. Both pokemon and children were brought into the isolated laboratory. She was the seventh child to be brought in, and her DNA was modified to fit with her bursthearts. The two first children died in the process, but it was perfected after the third came out faulty but alive. The forth was the first perfect example of the intended results. Labrys was raised there, around strict attendants who disciplined her harshly if she stepped out of line. Still, this did not halt the growth of her human empathy, and she befriended the other children in the institution.
A total of eleven children were brought in, counting the first, second and third. Labrys was forced to try and use her burstheart form at the age of five. First, gentle encouragement was used. After her first attempt failed, the scientists became cruel and lashed at her every time she failed. Some attempted to modify her again, but it failed, resulting in several physical scars and mental scarring. After the eighth attempt, she succeeded with a Mawhile burstheart, which was incredibly exciting to the scientists, because mega Mawhile was known to be an incredibly powerful pokemon. Labrys routinely was urged to mega evolve, but she had difficulty with it, prompting a new experiment. Many of the weaker burst heart children were brought into an arena, where they were all forced to fight for their lives. Labrys was forced to kill her friends. However, she mega evolved during this process. The scientists regarded it as a success. Labrys became robotic, obeying commands and shoving her emotions behind, because emotions were associated with the pain she had gone through. However, soon after, the government found about the experiments, but only knew it involved bursthearts, and not torturing humans. Labrys's memories were wiped, hypnotized out of her. They uses several Hypno in a row to erase her memories. But the pain was permanent.
From there, she was released. But the company gave her to a trusted ally to raise her. This ally didn't know how cruel the company was either, but raised Labrys like a daughter. Labrys was educated and taught on all subjects including pokemon. But bursthearts always significantly unsettled her. Labrys was happy with her adoptive mother, and eventually grew to trust pokemon. Her adoptive mother loved her as well and the two became incredibly close. Her adoptive mother also taught her how to play the violin, and the two bonded over that as well. One of the company managers that Labrys had seen before her memories wiped came over one day, causing Labrys to have a panic attack, but she didn't remember the cruelties she had experienced, therefore she was unable to explain the source of her panic. From there, all company members Labrys had interacted with previous to having her memories wiped were ordered to stay out of her sight. Labrys would indeed be used again, but they would need to wait. The company's goal was to take over the entire region and then the world, and Labrys was one of their key tools in doing so. She was one of the most successful and powerful experiments that they had created.
Labrys received a top-notch education, but felt guilty after she turned sixteen. Many other people her age were successful trainers, so of her own will she moved away from her adoptive mother. She got several odd jobs, and kept receiving funds from her adopted mother who was quite wealthy. She moved to live in a nearly town, and soon became friendly with her neighbors. However, she became more exposed to the public, which could cause her memories to surge up, but only vaguely. In the beginning she was so nervous and busy with her new home and life that she didn't have that much time for friends, but by now, she's become a little more easygoing and relaxed in her current life.
