Appearance:
Gareth is around 5" 7 but always seems to appear much taller when on his horse, a tactic he uses sometimes when in battle to intimidate the enemy.
His hair is a lighter shade of purple, a fact he hasn't always been happy with but he's learned to like it better.
Gareth usually can be seen wearing a brown cloak that used to be his father's. It has been worn down from how much he has worn it over the years. This cloak also has a hood which Gareth used to use back when he was more sensitive about his purple hair but he rarely uses it now.
His armor is a light blue, while the parts that cover his joints are a much darker blue. Gareth's armor covers most of his body except for his hands. On his hands he has scars from something that happened years ago and wants to let them show when in battle.

Personality:
Gareth is very calm and focused most of the time. It doesn't matter what he's focusing on, it'll probably have his full attention. Be it a difficult task like carrying heavy items or something small like watching a squirrel, it'll have his full attention. He is rarely sad because he constantly tries to keep himself happy in order to honor his missing father the best he can. He is slow to anger, but can become absolutely furious if something were to go the worst way possible.
However, in combat, Gareth is very serious. He will not try to make jokes about the battle or any other situation that he is in until it is well over. He tries his best to keep all of his emotions inside to better improve how well he does in battle.
Roster Description:
A young cavalier who fights only for honor. Both for him and his missing father. Now seeking only to fight to get over his father's disappearance and to honor the memory of him, Gareth has joined the Shepherds in hopes of becoming a great fighter.
Most fond of extinguishing fires.

Combat:
Gareth is someone who prioritizes soaking up damage so others don't have to. This is sometimes very dangerous as he may try too hard to protect someone when it isn't necessary and nearly die in the process. His fighting style with swords consists of combining a lot of defensive moves with quick offensive ones. He'll be primarily blocking and then he'll quickly lash out to strike the enemy. Gareth fights best in very open areas but can also adjust to areas with more trees and natural obstacles.
Statwise, he has a lot of defense and skill, but his strength is sometimes lacking. His Resistance is absolute trash, as he has never had any experience with mages. Other than that, everything else is average for a cavalier.
Likes: Nighttime, Reading, Sparring With Others, Apples, Running, and the Color Blue.
Dislikes: Rodents, Getting Dirty (Unless it's absolutely necessary.), Sub-Humans (Taguel, Manaketes, Etc.) and Thunderstorms.
Dreams: Gareth dreams to become a great fighter to honor his father's memory.
Fears: Spiders and Fire. Spiders have always been disturbing to him and when he was younger, Gareth had nightmares of fire burning down whole cities.
Talents: Gareth is a pretty good fighter and can also cook very well.
Weaknesses: Any moment is which he suprised is when he doesn't do well in. He would most likely panic if there were to be an ambush.
History:
Gareth used to live a pretty normal life in the main town of Ylisse and nothing much happened out of the ordinary. Even though his mother had passed away while giving birth, he was still content with the fact that he had at least one of his parents. His father was a soldier who would patrol around town with many others and keep the peace. When he had time, he would teach Gareth how to wield a sword and use a lance.
When he was 12, he had a terrible experience with a sub-human that led to an eventual burning hatred for them.
Gareth was reading in the forest for the day, wanting some time to be alone and reflect on life. He had been reading a book on wars that had happened in the history of Ylisse. Gareth had just begun a text on a small war that'd supposedly happens between the Humans and the Taguel many years ago when there came a large amount of noise coming from another portion of the woods. He ignored but it continued on in his direction while Gareth sat reading his book, oblivious to what was going on. The source of the noise was a sub-human, and it was hunting to find food. It had found Gareth and naturally thought of him as prey. As soon as Gareth noticed the sudden silence and the sub-human hiding behind a bush, it jumped out and attempted to swipe it's sharp claw at him. Gareth had raised his hands to protect himself, and they had taken the impact, creating a large cut on the back of his hand. He then ran away to the town where he knew it wouldn't follow him and got help. Since then, he has aways seen sub-humans as mindless and cruel beasts. He still bears the scars from that moment to this day.
One day his Father's patrol group was called together and was sent off with many others to a town near the Plegian Border that had been experiencing some problems. Gareth had grown used to these kinds of missions but when news returned of how things were going on in that area, it was reported that the whole town was raized and most of the people dead. All the other people's bodies hadn't been found, so they were considered missing or taken by someone (Probably Plegia), Gareth's Dad being one of them. Although after he'd learned the news, he was depressed for a while until he decided to join the Shepherds in order to honor his missing (and probably dead) father. He still harbours in his heart the hope that his father is out there and that he will find him.
